Lange Solberg is a commercial fisherman and entrepreneur in fisheries and ocean technology. With a master's degree from the University of Washington's School of Marine and Environmental Affairs, Lange has combined his 20-plus years at the actual helm of a fishing vessel with his maritime business and fisheries policy acumen to help grow and establish the Deckhand Logbook platform as a leading solution for the collection and transmission of fisheries data at sea.

Previously, Lange has consulted on fisheries policy-related projects for clients representing North Pacific fleets, written for maritime trade publications, and worked in commercial marine sales.

 

He currently serves as president of the Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County and served two terms as treasurer and board member of the Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association.
